1-Cash Cards:

  • This type of Card is linked to client’s account (current and/or savings etc.) can be used for local/Domestic use only on cash/ withdrawals from ATMs transactions - under 123 Network. Transaction is authorised only when the amount of money of the cash withdrawal is available in the client's account.
  • No purchase capability
  • 2- Credit Card (MasterCard) :

  • Alternative way of paying
  • Used for local and international cash withdrawals, purchases and online transactions
  • Enable the cardholder to obtain goods, services or cash from Master card or Visa merchant or acquirer (POS or ATM)
  • Card connected with a credit limit.
  • Minimum payment 5% of the O/S balance and other benefits to cardholders .
  • Credit Card transaction types

  • Purchases (card present and not present environment)
  • Cash advances
  • Membership. (Example. Cable TV)
  • Utility payments
  • E-commerce payments
  • Services provided for EALB ATM Cardholders :

  • Cash withdrawal
  • Transfer between your accounts
  • Card Activation
  • Pin Set
  • Balance inquiry

  • *Credit and Cash Card are complementary products and not competitive and Deliver different service to different types of cardholder

    Security advices to cardholders

  • Place your signature at the backside of the card
  • Never lend your card to anyone
  • Never reveal your PIN to anyone
  • Don’t give your card number out over the phone without knowing why
  • Don’t use your card on an unsecured Website
  • Don’t sign at a blank charge slip
  • Check your monthly statement
  • Cut up old cards through the account number
  • Protect your credit card and pin numbers at ATMs or when using the telephone
  • Carry as few cards as possible
  • Do not keep your card & pin number in the same place, ex: Wallet, drawer, cupboard

    - Cash withdrawals commission for domestic cash transactions = 2% with minimum amount = 20 EGP per transaction.
    - Cash withdrawals commission for international cash transactions = 5% with minimum amount = 50 EGP per transaction.

    Methods for Credit Cards Payments:

  • Over the counter payment at EALB branches in official working hours
  • Direct Debit Settlement: Client authorizes the bank to debit his/her bank account with min/full payment required
  • Payment through E-banking platform
  • In case of not paying:

  • If the cardholder did not pay at least the min payment = 5% before the due date, the cardholder will be billed by late fees and monthly debit interest overall his/her credit card outstanding balance.
  • If the client did not pay his /her min. dues for more than 60 days, the card will be suspended and the bank will begin the legal procedures with the cardholder.
